Gluten-Free Buttermilk Syrup

  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • ½ Cup Buttermilk OR ½ Milk/Milk Substitute + 1 ½ teaspoons of vinegar
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda


1) In a deep pan add butter, buttermilk, and sugar.
2) Bring to a boil.
3) Take off heat and add vanilla and baking soda.
NOTE: Adding the baking soda will cause it to bubble up, so make sure your pan is deep enough.
4) Stir until it settles.
5) Serve over Mom's Place Buttermilk Pancakes or Waffles or Mom's Place Pumpkin Pancakes or Waffles.
